COMPLIMENTARY WEDDING PACKAGE*
The above wedding package is FREE for couples staying 7 nights or more at the St. James' Club on an all-inclusive basis in the Beachfront category or higher. All weddings require a local licensing fee of US$350 (subject to change) and is payable to the local authorities. Some restrictions apply, may not be combinable with some offers and/or packages.
Optional extras include photography, videos, hors d'oeuvres, private dinners, additional champagne, beauty treatments and local entertainment such as steel bands. These are all readily available and your personal wedding co-ordinator will not only discuss your exact requirements, but will also advise current prices on your arrival at the resort. All optional extras are payable locally.
If you wish to add any of these extras to your wedding package, please indicate in the "Tell us about your ceremony" section when filling out the wedding form.
Required Documentation: Please travel with valid passports, immigration cards (stamped locally at airport). If divorced original proof of Decree Absolute; if widowed, original death certificate; original proof of name change by Deed Poll; if under 18 years of age, evidence of consent of parents is required in the form of an original Affidavit by a Notary Public. N.B. Documents such as birth certificates and Decree Absolutes must be officially translated into English.
Waiting Time and Legal Proceedings: One (1) business day is required before legal proceedings can begin. Couples must attend to the Ministry of Legal Affairs in St. John’s (30 minutes drive from the hotel) and complete and sign a declaration stating that the information they are giving is correct. Please note the Ministry is not open on weekends or public holidays. If there is any doubt as to either person’s single status, it may be necessary to swear an affidavit before a solicitor (approximately US$40 each).
Date & Time of Ceremony: While specific requests can be made through our sales offices, St. James's Club & Villas, Antigua cannot guarantee a specific time for the Wedding ceremony prior to your arrival. Ceremonies are generally performed between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., but not on weekends or public holidays.
Registrar and License Fees: All weddings, including the free wedding, require a local licensing fee of US$350 (subject to change). This fee is payable to the local authorities and includes all licenses/services of registrar/copy of marriage certification. Cost of transportation to Legal Affairs and the High Court is NOT included. Transfers must be paid directly to the driver. Government offices are not open on public holidays.
